The Seven Deadly Sins: Part 2

Gluttony: Derived from the Latin gluttire, meaning to gulp down or swallow.

Guilty as charged.

In my defense, ever seen an animal eat. No reservations.

gluttony is the over-indulgence and over consumption of anything to the point of waste.

No matter how much one eats, there is going to be waste. . .

The Seven Deadly Sins: Part 1

Lust.

Guilty as charged.

However, in my defense, I was hard wired this way. To therefore declare me unfit for heaven, or worse, fit for hell, is foolhardy.

Dante's criterion for lust was "excessive love of others," which therefore rendered love and devotion to God as secondary.

Is my excessive love for others my fault or God's?
